boris Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 i dont know about the rest of you but i found the grand prix this weekend quite interesting. not that much action in the way of actual overtaking manouvers but all the incidents on and off the track certainly caught my attention. hard luck to jenson but then silly boy did make the mistake all on his own! also a good drive from rubens to get himself on the podium im looking forward to indy now Quote
KerryS Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Yep, not bad. Red cars 2,3 - worrying! Silly Zipper, could've been P2 Kerry S Quote
Bananaman Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Who was it whos break exploded New overalls please....... Quote
boris Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 Who was it whos break exploded that was 1 of the toyota cars, trulli IIRC. i had almost the same thing happen to me whilst karting once, the pads wore out and didnt grip the disk, that wasnt nice Quote
Martin Keene Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 It was Trulli. Alos, I wonder if BMW will stop moaning about Williams for a while now... Edited to add: It's good news for the championship for Kimi to take 10 points from Alonso Quote
boris Posted June 12, 2005 Author Posted June 12, 2005 good news yes, but in the grand scheme of things there is a net change of nothing after the last 2 races with the result last time out being an exact reversal of fortunes. personally i hope kimi wins it but i have no good reason why tho Quote
Major Stare Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Did anyone see Louise Goodman interviewing jenson after his crash Was she just wearing a bra and smugling peanuts or what ! Interesting race, Shu did nothing exciting and still came second Quote
KerryS Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 She was just a bit warm I suppose... and did you see David Coulthard's interview by Louise? She asked him about pit lane speeding, and he said something about treating the speed limiter like her nip***s, needing a gentle touch - that shut her up Kerry S Quote
Mark Stanton Posted June 12, 2005 Posted June 12, 2005 Still found it as interesting as watching paint dry - can't see any interest in watching a race where results are determined by the cars that don't break down now that ain't racing Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 I find the whole "Fisichella's holding Alonso up" business irritating. If Alonso was better, he'd have been in front to start with; or if he was better later he could pass Fisichella. Why should Fisichella give up his place to Alonso. Alonso should work for it goodness me As it happened it didn't matter, of course... Quote
pistonbroke Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 hat's the root of the whole crappy "racing" scene in F1 though isn't it? Cars unable to overtake because of the bl**y stoopid aero devices thing.where a faster car cant overtake without assistance from the car in front . ruination of modern F1 should ban the stupid things and make it interesting again . Quote
Man On The Clapham Omnibus Posted June 13, 2005 Posted June 13, 2005 Team orders seem to cause a bit of turbulence too, n'est pas? Oh I know they're not allowed any more, but who believes they don't exist? Quote
