adhawkins Posted June 11, 2005 Author Posted June 11, 2005 Oi, watch it Mr. Stanton, or I'll find a way to beggar up your PC Ok, this is what JWTs original ad said: CAT MOTORSPORT WIDE TRACK FRONT WISHBONES INCLUDING CORRECT LENGTH STEERING RACK EXTENTIONS So, I'll phone to order this rack on Monday, and also speak to Cat about these extensions. What would be the problem with using the current extensions I have? What are these likely to cost? Thanks to Dickie for all his assistance. Yet again, showing that my 25 quid is a year is money very well spent. Andy
Mark Stanton Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 You should be able to remove extensions from old rack and fit into new one as long as they're not bent The early Cat extensions were merely some machined screw on units to extend the arms - which I have The current set are some pucker rack extension complete arms - they look like drumsticks with a threaded end when removed
DickieB Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 I don't think you have extensions currently. The arms seemed to be 1 piece, ie they are specials which are the right length without extensions. CAT do extensions for a normal rack which it sounds like you will need. Speak to Andy @ CAT first to be sure. He's very nice and helpful!
DickieB Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 If you look at this beneath from CAT's website, it seems that they do not do extensions, but replacement arms. So you can just use the ones you have already.

Mark Stanton Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Any benefit to buying new arms? Yes if the following 1. Your old ones am bent and of no use or 2. You want a spare set Otherwise use your old uns
adhawkins Posted June 11, 2005 Author Posted June 11, 2005 Ok, hopefully the current ones aren't bent, and I have no desperate urge to own a spare set right now. How much they likely to cost roughly? Andy
Mark Stanton Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 You can call Andy on monday and ask him See if he has any extension for your trousers as well
