1600 isn't a particularly common engine size. 1800 Zetecs are more common to be honest.

Whatever you get, within a couple of months you'll want something faster ;)

        ;)  ;) but very under-estimated when in VX twin cam guise  :D  :D  :D  :D

1600CVH is a crackin ideal first time road car  ;)  :D  :D plenty of spares available

1700 X-Flow loads of em about and parts easy to come by

1600 Pinto - not too common but still cheap and easy to run  :D

1600 Twin cam Toyota - revvy engine and good for a Westfield

1600VX twin cam - loads of potential - not many around again a revvy engine and well suited for a Westfield 200+BHP is achievable from this unit and still reliable  :D

But why not go straight to 2 litre and get 190 BHP in 'standard' trim?

so would you personally reccomend a 1800 zetec or 2.0L

I would have thought this would be super quick!!! Im sure you guys would think otherwise.

Im sure the insurance would sting me for a 2.0L

Decisions decisions ???

Depends Who you ask  ???

1.8 or 2.0 Zetec will do nicely for a Fast road Westy, but so will the VX (which is more powerful 'out of the bag' )

As for Insurance, Depends how old you are and your record etc.

My 2 litre Zetec costs £210 Fully comp' with Footman James

(4500 miles a year limit)

Go and Try a Few Different Engined cars and Go from there...

IMHO a smaller CC revvier engine just seems to feel more appropriate and fun, rather than the 2litre 200+BHP grunt  ;) I'd end up going for a V8  :D  :D      :D

Perhaps that's the best thing though - so many options for each individuals tastes and use  :D even if you gran a little 1300/1400 cc engine in a westfield with its handling ability its always gonna be quicker than a tin-top on those tight twisty roads

Spot on Mark  :D  ;)

Most definitely, there's bound to be something for (almost) everyone.
