Hi,

I hate orange indicators...

I want to buy clear side repeaters - They are stamped "Ford" -I think they are off a Fiesta ?? - Can some please please confirm this & also - what year ?

I have already smoked my front indicators slightly from the inside - looks quite good....

If anyone wants to see a pic let me know

Excellent - superb site....

Are the Westfield Front Indicators off a Landrover then ?

(Also, if they are, are the Landrovers clear side lights the same size as the orange indicators)

£2.26 each + Philips silver vision indicator bulbs...

That'll Ding Dang Do for me ........

I just ordered clear lenses for all of my indicators from S-V-C. They look good but were a bit more involved to fit than I expected. The Perie clear rear (reverse) lenses came with right angle connectors, whereas the Westfield standard ones are straight, so I had to dremel off some of the tub behind the carbon effect light housing, and extend the loom to fit the new connector - don't know if I could have specified different connectors but didn't think about it when I ordered - I was just expecting the old bulb holder to clip straight into the new lense. :bangshead:

The standard s-v-c clear side repeaters have no clip on them but instead have a double sided adhesive pad that sticks them on - these work fine.

As for the front lenses, I asked for land rover ones (full fixtures as they do not sell the lenses separately), and again I was just expecting to switch the bulbs over and screw on a new clear lens, but the lights they sent me had smaller lenses and a metal outer ring, with the lens and ring just held in place but the rubber cups (type L594 on the s-v-c website, I think - though at £6 each?). These look good now fitted, but the lights only come with one 12V supply wire, with the earth relying on the screw used to mount the bulb holder to the body (no good on a plastic light pod), and so I had to rivet on an earth wire, chop off the old wires and crimp on new connectors - i.e. a bit more work than fitting a bulb and two screws each side. Therefore if you get them from s-v-c make sure you make yourself clear what you want.

That said the lights do look great and I am very happy with them. :t-up:

Motor World or whatever used to be Charlie Brown's - that well known purveyour of tacky bits like neon lights, actually does the white side repeaters for about 7 quid a pair (clear/smoked/blue!!!;).  Just take one of your existing ones in to make sure you get the right connector.  You may find that it is an adhesive rather than clip fixing, but certainly does the job.  They also do the yellow bulbs for the front indicators and the clear lenses are approx 4 quid from your local non franchised Land-Rover dealer.

Cheers Guys.

I've ordered a set of clear side repeaters with orange bulbs off Direct Car Parts website. £11.99 Delivered.

For the record - They are Fiesta & Mondeo Ovals - both the same part number - Year is about 94 - 95

Also - A wee tip for all you.... Silver Indicator bulbs are a complete rip off.

£10 for 5w side & £15 for front Philips Silver Vision!!

Rip off - get your standard 75p bulb & give it a light lick of Silver spray paint. Still flashes orange & eliminates the Fried Egg look... :o)

I done this on my Audi A4 & it looks the job..

Remember "Turbo Tint" ? - That black translucent spray paint for your rear lights ?

Well i took my front indicator lenses off & sprayed them from the inside - The secret is - just a light lick to tone the orange down....

I would post a before & after photo, but not sure how to - so let me know if anyone wants the pics emailed...

Cheers

David
