Jan Coombes Posted June 1, 2005 Posted June 1, 2005 so half a year on, I should be back getting back on the road. Money should be paid up in a few weeks, so what should I get with it? Budget up to a MAX of £4,000 I mainly need the bike for travelling to work about 170miles return trip (I know, I know, ******g long way) Takes about 1H 30Mins each way, most of it M25, It needs to be comfy, give me some wind protection, be OK to weave in and out of traffic, and pop the odd wheelie (I’ll limit my self to 1-2 a week) I have tested the bandit 600, unfaired, but thought it a bit dull and windy I have a test on a new and old shape Fazer 600 tomorrow. Any thoughts? Anything else I should try or look at? Quote

Lurksalot Posted June 2, 2005 Posted June 2, 2005 you could try thundercat ( yzf600r) Basically the same as a fazer but with fairings It should do the job nicely Quote
Jan Coombes Posted June 2, 2005 Author Posted June 2, 2005 His will do 170mph mine ran out of steam at just under 150mph!! I've been nocked of twice by people not looking in there mirrors, I don't think I would have a clean licence for long doing 160mph going to work. But it would cut down on the travel time. I had a ride the Thundercat a while back, good idea I'll add it to my list Quote
