Eddy5 Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 OK, there's a Pre-Lit Westy I'm looking at which has the following spec Dark Green, with black nose and cycle wings on a Q-Plate Recent rebuild, chassis powder coated VHPD K-Series (Lots of performance bits in to make it solid and reliable) with about 190bhp Aero screen AVO dampers poly bushed (CAT motorsport) CAT motorsport poly bushes all round Polo radiator Westfield race seat (not fitted) Tonneau (not fitted) Outlaw 4 pot front calipers AP racing master cylinder Magneton starter Fuel system with swirl pot and filter Full set CAI gauges and Elliott tacho Yoko AO32r tyres (rears brand new) on Minilights 5 3/4 inch headlights, new from SVC 3 point harnesses. There is spare bodywork consisting of, bonnet, tub (poor), scuttle (poorer) long wings, boot box. There is also a hood, side screens, windscreen and wipers, but are possibly in poor condition. The bodywork is pretty good, but needs a bit of tidying up (Crazing on bonnet, some holes to fill in at the rear) The car has been put together very well from I gather, and I'm going to give it the once over to check I fit next weekend. Currently it's a pretty hardcore spec with no carpets, aero screen, etc. So what would you expect this to be worth? Quote
oioi Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 very very difficult to put a price on something like that. if it was 6k i would say it was an absolute bargain, if it was 9k I would think it was expensive so that gives a reasonable range. what i would say if you are going to track the car it will need a dry sump as K series go POP quite regularly. Karl Woolf Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 its another of those "worth less than the sum of its parts" bet the engine is worth a few quid almost sounds like an catering van with a westy badge reckon if its been rebodied too bet he`s looking at £8k Go on are you going to put us out of our misery, how much does he want Quote
Eddy5 Posted May 26, 2005 Author Posted May 26, 2005 So £6k is good then IIRC it is dry sumped. Quote
Mark Purves Posted May 26, 2005 Posted May 26, 2005 Not bad just depends how much trust you put in a K series. Quote
