scott beeland Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Driving down to Knutsford this am to take Mitsubishi in to dealers and past came a metallic Orange Murcielago Never seen one on the road before.....Fuggin MASSIVE in the rear view mirror (wasn't in the mirror for long ) Was it you?????? Quote
Lordbenny Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Did I read that right...You've never seen a Mucielago on the road before??? Where do you live? I live in Surrey and they're like buses down hear. I get excited when I see a Fiat Strada Arbath, a Mark 1 RS2000 Escort, a Renault 5 maxi turbo, a 1972 Porche 911 RS......REAL cars. The super/hypercars around these days are for a*****s to show off how much money they've got i.e.Gumball 3000 entrants. If any of us had £120,000 burning a hole in our pockets I'd like to think we'd pick the 4 cars mentioned above. It's one of the reasons we've got Westies....isn't it? Maybe I'm just getting old (38)((god did I really say that!) But that Audi, I mean Lambo has about as much charisma as Michael howard. Even one of the cars above and £100,000 would do me! Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted May 18, 2005 Posted May 18, 2005 Was not mine as mine is Blue and was tucked up at home in the garage. Barry Quote
scott beeland Posted May 18, 2005 Author Posted May 18, 2005 Lord Benny. You can still buy 10 houses up here for that. Any mucielago around here would obviously be the profit of ill gotten gains. Barry. I'd like to believe you I really would Quote
Guest Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 scott i also live in surrey ................ i actually raised an eyebrow the other day when i saw a 959 round the corner , but benny is right , i know of 3 Maccy merc slrs living near me , elton johns bentley was in my mates bodyshop the other day (ok so he is a bently approved repairer ) and bently continetal GT's are a more common site in waitrose car park than a 1.8 mundano . and as for Rarri dino's ...then they are 2 a penny on a sunny sunday , living right on top of brooklands does help i guess . Oh and for the record i would not buy one of the classics if i had 100k burning a hole ............ in my experience past classics give a past classic experience ......they feel like old nails to drive . i think a nice F430 in red with paddle shift would do fine. Dave Eastwood (Gadgetman) - Club Chairman Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I know of two brothers in the Knutsford area who own them, one has a metalic orange one, could be the one you saw, and the other brother's car is a sort of metalic Kermit green! Quote
david.c Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 I live in Surrey and they're like buses down hear. What.................not one for ages.............then 3 come along at once David Quote
Frau Vesty Posted May 19, 2005 Posted May 19, 2005 Is it just me, or is it impossible to read the word "Murcielago" without the voices in your head saying it in the style of Jeremy Clarkson Quote
