The SEi manual I have says the ride heights should be (the car has a bike engine):

Front 160-165mm

Rear  175mm

However when trying to raise the front I cannot achieve 160 mm ground clearance with the shocks I have, which are the Westfield standard, see a picture here .

They become fully extended at approx 125mm. It looks to me that the shocks are too short. Any thoughts? Should the ride height be lower than the figures quoted?

Er, they look like they're set to the lowest setting to me...

Wind up that big collar thing at the bottom of the spring with a C spanner...

Yup, after checking the photo in an image viewer so that I can see the detail, it looks to me like you haven't actually adjusted the ride height at all...

sorry blatters yes on that picture they are....that picture is months old, and was intended to identify the shock only. from now having spoken to another blade owner, it seems the Nitron shcoks are more standard for bike engined cars?

now they have been wound up 50mm. We have also measured the front shock to be 290mm. They are fully extended yet only give a ride height of 125mm.

Just want to avoid having to wait to phone Mark in the morning!!!

The spring collars are not adjusted in the picture(s).

But the suspension is not doing anything either, so the shockers in the picture(s) *should* be at full extension - regardless of how far the collars are wound up... ;)

Run mine at 115mm front. 135 rear.

On 185/60/13s.

Ask Westfield for the MEGA setup sheet. They will fax it to you. It says something like 115 I think.

160 is monstrously high.

cheers Al, spot on.

Just to confirm for everyone, just spoken to Mark at Westfield and the ride heights are 115mm front and 135mm rear. Mark is emailing me a MegaBusa Suspension setup sheet, which I'm told is the one they use for MegaBlades.

Oh, if I'd only had this sheet last night!
