Hi All,

I've had to ditch my plastic catch tank for SVA. The pipe now just runs under neath the car - as instructed by WF. But I'm unhappy that this pipe has no filter whatsoever and will suck as well as blow.

Question is what's the best way to protect the engine short term?  In line filter in that pipe? Type?  ???

The car is only going to run the once at the SVA centre before that catch tank goes back on but I don't feel lucky at the moment.

Any ideas?

P.S.

I'm going to do a search for ali catch tanks in a moment. But I was really happy with my plastic one.

I may also have a spare oil thing whcih sits on the exhaust side of the engine so I could fit that I suppose.

Do your search in the parts for sale section and you'll find something of interest.  At work, otherwise I'd do a link for you.

Gromit is your man, I think he's removed his thread, probably as your not allowed to sell commercially?????? :bangshead:

Right.........

WF catch tank £45 :)  I would have been happy using Gromit kit but I needed it ASAP. And by the look of some of the posts he has a lot of work on his hands :D

Demon Tweeks for the air filter that sits on top - £20  :(

Both by the end of the week.

One more job to cross off the list.

I think you can get those little filters on Ebay for about a fiver if you can find one to buy immediately and get em to ship it ASAP.

Following on from my previous post, Ive just had a look on ebay as I need one for my breather tank too. An RC Car shop looks like it could be a good bet as they have little air filters for the petrol (?) powered radio controlled cars, such as this one for £7 and a couple others for less

if it is only to the sva centre and back why not a bit of old nylon stocking over the end of the pipe?

Hi All,

Just shows I should wait for the answers from this board before going out and spending more money than I need to  :durr:

Thanks
