I test drove the 1 series when I was looking at a new car and all it served to do was to presuade me to buy a 2nd hand 3 series.

The missus has just been given an A3 2.0 TDI as a work motor and while the handling might not be quite as good at 10/10ths the rest of the car is much more desirable.
