Word of caution! The record on here IIRC was 56 miles before writing off his new Westfield, people who know me can vouch for my enthusiastic driving style so I am not saying don't go fast but take time to get to know the car, let the new tyres loose the mould release agent, before going ten tenths (not that your post suggested that). Also after a 100 miles or so go round and check all the bolts are still nice and tight and everything is okay. After 500 miles or so might be an idea to check or have checked the suspension settings as things will have settled nicely.

God I sound like a real killjoy but it is well meant having known the guy who killed his car in 56 miles it was heart renching to see all his work in a pile of bits.

Do enjoy your car :t-up:

That's OK then, I've done 62 miles :D

Jeff, seriously, thoroughly agree. It's so different to anything I have owned before, I am taking my time getting used to it and where it's limits maybe. It's just that I was coming off a roundabout with a short stretch of dual carriageway before it went to single lane and there was this Scooby with a 6" exhaust, droped it to 2nd or 3rd, can't remember and pressed the go pedal, all in a straight line, and left him! Settled down to the 60 speed limit and he was just sooooo big in the mirror!

He blitzed past me at the next rbt - fine! I'd had my fun, he wanted his.
