slippy Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Guys whats the crack for spectaing at hill climbs etc ? My brother, me and a mate of oyurs all have Westy's and fancy doing the Speed series, hill climbs etc so Ithink spectating might be the best plan as a starter Quote
Numptie Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Even better than spectating - try marshaling at a couple of events. You'll get closer to the track and (assuming things the same daan saaf as they are up here) a free burger at lunchtime. Cheers, N Quote
davidgh Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 You could try the [spectator] tab on the main WSCC page Quote
slippy Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 Aghh.... er the site was down er... I didn't have my glasses etc etc Will do cheers Quote
neilwillis Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 On May 29th (I think) there's a free introduction to sprinting event at Curborough. That would be a good start I reckon. PM me, and I'll let you have all the details. Alternatively, get along to a few trackdays, and have a blast round the track. You can also get tuition on driving techniques there for a small fee which will set you in good stead. Quote
slippy Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 Cheers Neil you have PM I was looking at spectating at Olivers Mount because it's close and I have a mate who lives within site of the mount, I think I saw somewhere it was the 21st of June any ideas ? Quote
Tomcat Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 There is a sprint on at Curborough this Sunday (15th) - I will be there along with a good few others if you want to come along and have a chat and see what is going on. See here for directions. My Westfield is green with a yellow nosecone and has "Tomcat" written on the back. Quote

V 8 Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Hi TC, The MIRA round is near to you on 16th July. There is no spectating but if you have a pass & go in with the entrant, you will be ok. I may well have a spare if you're interested. (You might have to do a bit of pit monkeying as payment!!!! (Can you change a diff in 30 mins ) Quote
slippy Posted May 11, 2005 Author Posted May 11, 2005 MIRA ? Pit monkey eh ? I can change a tyre and check your oil past that your fooked Quote
Terry Everall Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Hey Tommo that 30 mins to change a diff is a difficult one It took 6 of us 40 mins at Aintree Quote
I.S.M Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 It took 6 of us 40 mins at Aintree too many chefs, and not enough t-shirts by the sounds of it. Quote
