How much do you want to spend and what do you want it for?

A decent 17" CRT shouldn't cost much more than 100 or 150 quid these days I wouldn't have thought.

I just sold one second hand for a fiver...

CRT's are horrible things though, you can get TFT's cheap as chips now...

2 LG Flatron  L1715S  in dual screen mode keep me very happy and were a good buy from Ebuyer with 3 yr on site warrenty.

Now I want to fnd out if I can use 3 monitors and use a 19" as centre with the 2 17's on each side. Bit extravagant though.

So you never got to PC World then?

My Mother's tv was doing something similar a few years ago and, being a mechanical engineer, I took the back off the thing, looked inside trying to look clever, pulled off all the multipin conectors I could see, put them back again, and bingo! Problems went away...for a year or so anyway!!

Maybe worth a try. I mean as a competent V***o technician this should be within your abilities........ :)  :)

Hi Kerry have thought about taking the back off and having a poke about but the monitor is getting on a bit about 3 1/2 years old and had a lot of use so won't last a lot longer anyway and felt like an upgrade,

No never got to PC world may pop over one night for a look if i can find the time but cheaper on the net :D

Just thought i would ask on here to try and get a little information so i know what i am looking for

How that car coming along ? must almost be ready for the road  :D

LG L1715S gets my vote too. Absolutely brilliant monitor.

PCWorld do the 15" for 99.99 inc vat too, which is vvv cheap as Ebuyer have it for 117 ish
