Could anyone recomend where I could get a SS exhurst/silencer repaired (slight crack appearing in the weld). Also for MOT's in the area

There is a place in Nottingham which advertises on the front of classic autojumbler for exhaust stainless stuff - will try to dig it out.

Can highly recommend Express Factors for an MOT in coalville - 01530 831791 - nice sensible chaps, let you sit in the car while they look round / do the tests etc...

For MOT, I use Middlebrook garage between Selston and Underwood (just off M1 J27).
