Every time I go to Sainsbury's I see grown adults slouching on trollies, pushing them around as if they need the support of the trolly to stay upright.  Makes them look like giant slugs pushing trollies.  They even move like slugs, slowly and without any precision at all and little awareness of what's around them.

Is this something that's happening in my area only or is it UK wide ? Why do I find it irritating ?  :bangshead:

I slouch on the trolley.  It's because it gives you the best eyeline for what's on the shelves  :p

I sit in the trolley and my 3 yo son pushes me around*

Come to think of it, he doesn't need a trolley  :D

Think yerselves lucky, over here people don't pack their shopping as it's being scanned through, they just stand there po-faced arms folded until they have paid, and then they start to pack  :bangshead:  :bangshead:

And the other day I was taking my trolley down the moving trolley slope thingy in the local supermarket and some locals decided to stop and have a conversation across the bottom, thus resulting in an enormous trolley pile up behind them.  Blissfully unaware they were :bangshead:  :bangshead:  :bangshead:

I feel mild irritation but also slight amusement when I see Wayne and Waynetta Slob lookalikes slouched on the counter at supermarket help desks and the like rather than standing upright.

Probably just me :D

We have a Morrisons in the town and it's worse there.  I try to avoid it as it's too busy, Sainsbury's is quieter, especially in the early evening.

Tesco's is populated by teenagers and kids, some wearing very strange clothes with odd hair, again best avoided.  They slouch there too.  Some of them even slouch with younger family members in the trolly so it's possibly a learned reponse rather than inherited.

I'm not a trolley sloucher, quite the opposite in fact.  If i go down an aisle with nobody in it i speed up, lean onto the trolley and take my feet off the floor - childish but fun and makes shopping more enjoyable!!!! :D  :D

Numbers of like minded men with shopping trollies.

The Sainsburys Speed Series sounds good to me!!

Anybody mastered the end of aisle cornering method of stamping on a rear wheel when at full feet up speed??

Drives swmbo mad so she doesn't ask me to go shoppin very often,

I saw something like this happen. A rather large man pushed himself off and lifted his legs up off the floor. Due to his weight the trolley jumped up and his head slammed into the metal bars inside the trolley before hitting the floor.

Blood everywhere....
