JonnyBoy Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 the trail of the illusive mint 205 gti has gone cold.. sights have been set on a 106 rallye... not too much $$ though. I figure chances of finding a nice rallye are higher than finding a straight 205. any clues? findit isnt working.. any other sources that the local rag and autotrader? Quote
S8ight Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 have a look on the loot website, have had a few bargains from it Quote
Arm Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 I know where there is a mint 205 1.9 that might be for sale. However he wont be 'giving' it away. Quote
kik1.6se Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 See www.106rallye.co.uk, they have a for sale section and a good forum. Is it the 1.3 rallye or the 1.6 your thinking about? Heres my 1.3: http://server8.web-mania.com/users/theingin/saxo/ See member section for mine and march 6 run for photos from the last run out we had on the cat and fiddle.. Oil leaks and noisy tappets are common and I've just had to fit new drive shafts and hub bearings as they were getting noisy which also seems faily common. The good news is they are galvanised so rust shouldn't be a problem. They are great fun to drive. Kirk Quote

kik1.6se Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 Kirk put the white steelies back on it!!! The previous owner put the alloys on. I want to put the steelies back on, but they are really tatty and need new tyres. I've been trying to get hold of a set of second hand S2 steelies as they are wider than the S1's, but for now the Alpines are staying on. Kirk Quote
