zoso Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 3 years work or one weekend? Plus i'd be on to your equivelent of student reps if you have them, or get straight onto your union... The unions are supposed to be for this kind of thing, as well as the drinking... Also, 8k? christ, I have to to 10-15, it could be worse Whats the project on, anything interesting? I've been designing throttle bodies... Quote
I.S.M Posted April 20, 2005 Author Posted April 20, 2005 after a long night, and some top level 'boshing' i ve just handed in first draft. See tute friday morning, spend a few hours making changes, go to brands, come back sunday night and write up changes, then i got till 3rd of may to hand it in - not so bad after all. Other than that i ve got three more assignments in on the 5th: Environmental degrdation of Fibre-reinforced plastic, Effect of laser welding technology in he aircraft industry and structural composites: a critical discussion - fook! My diss type project title was 'particle motion in abrasion - development of a model' basically i had to write a programme to define at what environmental conditions three and two-body abrasion regimes dominate in the micro-scale abrasion wear test. Ah thats right, you do alot of materials stuff on your course. The proper title for mine is "CAE multi throttle evaluation and design". Got a neat little design for a Ford Sigma engine that should weigh the best part of b******* all and be cheap to make... Although our real final year project is Formula Student, which is a double module... but could be a whole year in it's self with not much more work... Good luck with it all. Quote

Can you do this with a corrosive element as well? If so, just like teeth wearing - hmm - ideas & papers now in mind! Quote
