chazpowerslide Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 I've not been able to buy a 4 pack of Stella at my local Tesco for about 6 weeks now. I can get 12 cans in a box (which is no good as I tend to drink all 12 one after the other and hence............well you can guess I can get bottles but they cost more I really want 4 packs back, 4 is (just about) enough for an evening but 8 is even better however 12 is too much and I just can't stop myself...................... Is this a campaign to make me spend more and drink more? I really hate the bottles, espescially the little dumpy ones, I mean, two swigs and they are history. I want 440ml cans from my local supermarket that I can buy on my way home (as I have to practically drive through their car park to get to my house) and consume in multiples of four. This is not too much to ask for is it? I'm a simple man with simple needs and being able to buy 440ml cans of Stella in multiples if four is the foundation of my basic needs. I mean, eight and a half seconds (which is what it took me to finish the last 25cl dumpy bottle) is not really value for money is it? Now a 440ml can...........well that takes at least 20 secs to finish, that's value. Chaz. Quote
Frau Vesty Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Simply buy a 12 pack and when you get home, give 8 to your lovely wife, saying "eeyar love, hide these and don't give them to me tonight, even if I beg". Or put the other 8 outside and learn some self control Quote
mad lon Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Simply switch to Kronenberg, available in fours and 5% with a superior flavour IMHO.Can be purchased at 75p per 440 ml if you shop around...cheers Chaz Quote
chazpowerslide Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 Frau, I'm male, self control is genetically impossible Chaz. Quote

miserableoldgit Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 You Lager Boys, are you that afraid of tasting what you drink? Get some Ale down your neck, Wadsworth 6X, Marstons Pedigree, Witch's Brew or Tangle Foot is what you need. Not this continental knats pee!!!!!!!!!!! Quote
chazpowerslide Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 Maybe we could start off "Stella Watch" kinda like Esso "Price Watch" Each day we could all post up what we paid for our Stella from which retailer and force avability and price parity within the market. We'd have 'em by the balls then, no more Stella price fixing and messin around with the supply of 4 packs of 440ml tinnies, the Stella cartells would be finished!!!!!!!!!!!! Imagine walking into Co Op Cambridge and making them price match the deals in Co Op Scarborough, cheaper Stella for all and the preservation of the 440ml tinnie at Tesco Hmmmm. Calmed down a bit now Chaz. Quote
scruffythefirst Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 Have you tried tesco value larger - i'm sure thats still available in 4 packs of tins Quote
chazpowerslide Posted April 15, 2005 Author Posted April 15, 2005 As it happens Mr Oldgit I have substituted the 440ml can of Stella of late with the 500ml can of Pedigree. Not sure that MR Crash Bang Wallop approoved on Friday Evening mind, but he did finish his can. Chaz. Quote
