markcoopers Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Might be interested in the avon slicks and alloys, but........what is the offset? I need et13. Cheers, Mark
Mark S Posted April 8, 2005 Author Posted April 8, 2005 Hi Mark Knew I would be asked this! New to Westfield so have no idea what offset is or how to determine it. How do I tell? Mark
adhawkins Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 If you're lucky, it'll be stamped on the wheel somewhere (usually ETxx). Alternatively, try this website. Andy
Mark S Posted April 8, 2005 Author Posted April 8, 2005 Thanks Andy Mark, it would appear that these are ET5. Mark S
Morbius Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 The 185/60 14s might fit on the gash Orion rims that I will be keeping as a backup. They sould like KDFs though . How much did you want for them?
markcoopers Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Sorry Mark, need et13, on account of the existing wheels and brackets bent to fit. Don't want to bend then again or get new ones.
Morbius Posted April 8, 2005 Posted April 8, 2005 Trevor What is a KDF? Mark Korean Ditch Finder. The sort of performance tyre (sic) sold by Halfrauds, as I understand the term. I have never used Kumho or Hankook, etc, so I cannot be certain that they are: a. Korean, or b. guaranteed to find you a ditch, but the general impression I get from these fora is that they posess the adhesive qualities of Teflon.

Can't speak from experience, but I know at least one Speed Series competitor using Kumhos this year. Andy
Mark S Posted April 9, 2005 Author Posted April 9, 2005 So much to learn and so little time! How could a tyre with a name like that be a KDF? I drove the car on these a couple of times and they seemed average, but I have changed to Yokohamas for obvious reasons. £25 for the pair seems reasonable. I am in Hertfordshire. Mark
Morbius Posted April 9, 2005 Posted April 9, 2005 Sounds reasonable to me, too. Are you going to Stoneleigh? I intend to be there on the Sunday in my tintop, but I will not be staying overnight, because I will be rushing back to do some more build work. Failing that, my outlaws live in Stevenage, so I could pick them up next time I visit. How urgently do you need to get rid of them?
Mark S Posted April 11, 2005 Author Posted April 11, 2005 Next visit to Stevenage will be OK-will it be soon? I am 20 mins from Stevenage. Mark
