Just returned from the show and we had a really good drive out and back and even the weather was half decent.

Blatters still failed to buy me a beer at lunchtime though .. Sadly, I failed to buy him one too so I guess we are still even ..

Thanks to all who joined our convoy ( including Blatman   )  - it was a pleasant - if not fast - drive and mostly off the motorways ...

Not up to Stoneleigh standards as you would expect but I enjoyed my visit. Had a good chat with Richard Smith on the Westfield stand and he answered all Adam's (Big Ads) questions on his forthcoming build to his satisfaction. If we had known in advanace what bits and bobs we needed to buy, there were some bargains to be had especially with 6" stainless exhaust boxes at £170.00 on one stand!

I felt it was worth the visit, especially as the weather was good as well. The bacon and egg butties were fine and the mini doughnuts were exquisite! Even the loos were good. All in all for a smaller 'regional' show, I thought it was OK.

Couldn't find you I'll see you next time, although it'll have to be Curborough 'cos I'm not going to Stoneleigh this year.

Thanks to you and mb893 for organising a good run along the A25. I'd have been at the Little Chef earlier but there was a biker who desperately needed a lesson in cornering...

As for the show itself, it was OK. The usual mix of manufacturers, trade stands, odd balls, and bobble hats. It did seem to be quite busy when I left. I'd go again...

Blatters, glad you made it (only just though!. I hope the biker learned his lesson well .... We must have that beer some time though!
