Mark Stanton Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 The french have quite tight rules on campsites, service provisions, space allocation etc .................... probably why they're sooooo much betterer than a lot of UK ones Quote
a4gom Posted March 23, 2005 Posted March 23, 2005 I have a 1/4 of an acre for my back garden. Trouble is it starts from the rear of my single garage at the same height as the roof and climbs at about 35 degrees to the horizontal. Plus its totally land locked. bl**** useless Quote
S8ight Posted March 23, 2005 Author Posted March 23, 2005 Thought Bulgaria wos more your scene.Quite fancy a plot of land there meself mates bought a house out there, three floors, three bedrooms all with balconies, on the side of a valley, needs a bit of finishing, £25,000 5 of us ate out in the village bar, its basic but good food, £7.00 including about 5 bottles of beer Quote
JonnyBoy Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 30% forecast yearly growth on property values in Bulgaria.. or at least i think thats what I read! Quote
S8ight Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 depends where you buy. lots of appartments being sold for around £100,000 you can buy stuff in the small towns and villages for peanuts. Quote
Blatman Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 The french have quite tight rules on campsites, service provisions, space allocation etc Nearly choked no me coffee. You've been to Le mans. I don't recall seing any evidence of proper service provisions, unless you count 10 bogs and 4 showers between 10,000 people proper provisions... Quote
Mark Stanton Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Yeh but I've never used the camp sites at Le Mans simply parked up mobile tent on the car park........ et voila Much cheaper and same quality of services as pukka camp sites Not goin this year Quote
Bananaman Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 36 Acres = 14.5 Hectares (hectare is 100mx100m) 2.47 Acres/Hectare 36 Acres is a BIG campsite Quote
7SE Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Why would the French describe the size of their campsite in acres a4gom: Have you thought of installing a dry ski slope Quote
S8ight Posted March 24, 2005 Author Posted March 24, 2005 its not a camp site, its just a house with land we are looking at. plan on setting up our own site Quote
oioi Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Plus its totally land locked. bl**** useless i think landlocked is a good thing for a garden. if it was water locked it would be an island and you would need a boat to get there. and that would really be a pain in the Quote
brianm Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 As a rule of thumb an acre is about 80yds sq, or about a 100yds round Bri, Quote
markcoopers Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Or perhaps your own "Cheese roll" event a4gom? Quote
pistonbroke Posted March 25, 2005 Posted March 25, 2005 Thought two acres was what bollocky bill got when his bike chain came off Quote
