The french have quite tight rules on campsites, service provisions, space allocation etc .................... probably why they're sooooo much betterer than a lot of UK ones  :D  :D  :D

I have a 1/4 of an acre for my back garden. :D

Trouble is it starts from the rear of my single garage at the same height as the roof and climbs at about 35 degrees to the horizontal. Plus its totally land locked.:angry:

Nearly choked no me coffee. You've been to Le mans. I don't recall seing any evidence of proper service provisions, unless you count 10 bogs and 4 showers between 10,000 people proper provisions... :0:p:D

36 Acres = 14.5 Hectares (hectare is 100mx100m)

2.47 Acres/Hectare

36 Acres is a BIG campsite :)

Why would the French describe the size of their campsite in acres ???

a4gom: Have you thought of installing a dry ski slope ???

its not a camp site, its just a house with land we are looking at. plan on setting up our own site

i think landlocked is a good thing for a garden.  if it was water locked it would be an island and you would need a boat to get there.  and that would really be a pain in the  :arse:

As a rule of thumb an acre is about 80yds sq, or about a 100yds round ;)
