Barry Ashcroft Posted November 11, 2003 Author Posted November 11, 2003 Running windows me have had no problems before have been using this method for 2 yrs then all of a sudden problems. Quote
Mrs Westy Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 I had a similar problem a while ago. I found that if I saved the file to my hard drive instead of trying to open it, and then opened the saved document, it worked. Worth a try Quote
Barry Ashcroft Posted November 11, 2003 Author Posted November 11, 2003 I get the message if I try to save the attachement also. Quote
Fat Albert Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Barry Really, which version of Windows (95, 98, ME, NT4, 2000, XP) ? The 32bit OS's (the last 3) can have permissions on folders which prevent new files from being created. Have you run out of disk space ? (use My Computer or Windows Explorer to see how much free space is available. When you open a .pdf file Acrobat tries to create a temporary file, there may not be enough space for it Quote

conco Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Try to start acrobat reader first and then open the pdf-file (archive-open) from the program. If that works your a.r is drunk If it works remove the a.r in "add/remove" under the control panel and then reinstal again just a little tip. Conco Quote
Tony B Posted November 13, 2003 Posted November 13, 2003 Its probably been created in a newer version of Acrobat than the one you have on your desktop, best thing to do is to upgrade your version to the latest (acrobat reader 6 go here for the latest version and follow the steps http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/readstep2.html) they may have also locked the document so it cannot be altered/saved. If its not sensitive send it over to me and Ill convert it for you... Quote
