markhall Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 This weekend theres the "Great Western Kit & Sportscar Show" at Exter. Whats the show like, ie is it well represented by 7's, or should I keep away given that I've never been to a kit car show before? Quote
CharliePsycho Posted November 10, 2003 Posted November 10, 2003 I went last year... Seems lots of sevens came in (free entry if you drive a kit car) and lots of peering into cars and talking to owners... The show itself is inside and seemed to have a fair representation of manufacturers, but the stands were quite small - Westfield had a car and a load of brochures... tiger had a car.. neither had anything particularly mouth watering... I'm going again this year (if it not raining) as I want a good petrol cap and a lightweight radiator fan - there were lots of stalls full of bric-a-brac as I remember it. ...© Quote
MartT Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 Hi Looking at other threads, I thought it was any excuse to take your Westie out ... surely a kit show one of the more genuine reasons??!! Anyway, hope there's a good turnout on the Westie front, as I'm looking to buy one and could do with some guidance. Martin (Bristol) Quote
Doug D. Posted November 11, 2003 Posted November 11, 2003 By Stoneleigh standards the show is pretty small but is still worth a look if you don't live too far away......I'm hoping to thrash the westy up from Corrnwall if the weather looks dryish Quote
CharliePsycho Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 Exactly... Nice roads from North Devon as well.... As long as it is dry... ...© Quote
markhall Posted November 12, 2003 Author Posted November 12, 2003 Thanks for the replys - I'll probably go and have a look. If you see someone walking around with a load of brouchers, it'll be me - come and say 'Hi' (I wont bite, but the wife might!!) Quote
Blatman Posted November 12, 2003 Posted November 12, 2003 If you see someone walking around with a load of brouchers.... I think you'll need to ID yourself a bit better than that.... Quote
markhall Posted November 13, 2003 Author Posted November 13, 2003 The wife will have a muzzle (reference previous post re wife bites) - this should help with i.d. and potential legal issues over control of dangerous animals. Also thinking about using the collar and lead......although perhaps it's not that type of show!!!!! (Hope the wife doesn't read this or I'll never get a Westy) Quote
felters Posted November 14, 2003 Posted November 14, 2003 just looked at the Met Office site and the weather looks good... time to take the Westy for an awfully big adventure - and my longest trip by far I think... and I'll get in for free! Quote
