Was well pleased with the Scrutineers once over. Very helpful. A HUGE Thankyou to Bernie and Peter for their invaluable time and input. Some more jobs for the list Nick!! Hope everyone got something from the day, and others got most of the day (oioi)!!! See you at Croft. 7 Sleeps to go Rich Quote
Nick Algar - Competition Secretary Posted March 20, 2005 Posted March 20, 2005 Some more jobs for the list Nick!! Getting used to more jobs, all I seem to get these days, but at least these ones are all in aid of Safety Thanks Rich for a great morning, it was interesting to see how "far out" peoples settings were. Looking forward to the positive feedback from those who say it now handles better I will be thanking Bernie and Peter for a great scrutineering session Pleased everyone else was OK, next meetings at my house to help sort the car out. Another Croft with it not sorted Quote
oioi Posted March 20, 2005 Author Posted March 20, 2005 Hope everyone got something from the day, and others got most of the day (oioi)!!! looks sheepish although in my defence an hour on the ramps doing nothing cos of knackered battery i will put my hand up to the other 7 tho Quote
Guest Posted March 21, 2005 Posted March 21, 2005 Richard To add my thanks to the above. Interesting morning and a great bit of kit. Can't blame the handling on alignment now, only ride height, damper settings and corner weights to take responsibility!! And my driving ability of course. Great morning. Disappointed not to see Mr Algar's wagon running, something I have yet to witness. Hope you manage to get all the bits in time for Croft Nick. John Quote
cast iron Posted March 24, 2005 Posted March 24, 2005 Yes It was also decent of our resident scruitineers to volunteer for a free evaluation for anyone wanting it. Just proves that the majority of scruitineers are there for the love of the sport and safety, not to upset drivers. Quote
slippy Posted April 4, 2005 Posted April 4, 2005 Do you helpful gents know of anywhere in the sunny North East I can take my westy to be set up professionally as the handling is scarey ?. I've done searches and there seems to a hundred and one things that can effect handling and all seem to have a knock on effect to each other so I might just stump up the cash and get it sorted properly. Any guidance is appreciated Oh.... and I also take donations Quote
oioi Posted April 5, 2005 Author Posted April 5, 2005 slippy - if you know what you want PM scottish bloke as he has the facilities and may be able to help otherwise playskool have a good reputation (but i have never used them) Quote
slippy Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 Cheers Oi Oi I've heard play skool have a decent rep although it's a fair run from sunny teesside to Bradford were I think they are based Quote
Blatman Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 It'd be *well* worth the trip though. Paul and his boys are excellent. FWIW, if I ever needed *serious* work on my car, I'd take it to Plays-Kool, and I'm in London... Quote
slippy Posted April 5, 2005 Posted April 5, 2005 That is praise indeed. Next question, and I know it's a how long is a piece of string job, but how much on average are we talking ? Quote
oioi Posted April 6, 2005 Author Posted April 6, 2005 i think prices depend on whether live or independant (as the independant is a lot more time consuming to set up) try phoning??? Quote
