Vulcan 135BHP X-flow engine for sale fitted with twin Webber DCOE 40’S

711M block

10.3 compression ratio

Modified Hepolite pistons +0.090” with deepened valve pockets

Kent 234 Camshaft

Maxiflow 1A head using 1.625” inlet valves & 1.325” exhaust valves

Steel rocker posts

Vandervell bearings

Alloy Baffled shallow sump  (had minor repair)

High pressure oil pump with take off for oil cooler

Steel front pulley

Full engine Balance

Modified block breather

Other Bits Included:-

Twin DCOE 40’s (rolling road tuned) c/w inlet manifold (o-hauled Jul 2002 prior to RR tune)

Carb Linkage

2 x Racetec air filter socks to suit(Install stays within narrow body bonnet)

Starter Motor & remote Solenoid

Engine mounting brackets (to accept round mounts)

Thermostat housing c/w fan switch

Aldon competition distributor 103fxy

Plugs & leads

Unleaded conversion to head (carried out by Vulcan)

Alloy “Vulcan” rocker cover in Red  (drilled and fitted for breather c/w vented filler cap)

20psi oil pressure sender  and t-piece fitted

Roger king copper Exhaust gaskets

Recently fitted:-

New water pump

New LUK clutch (for type 9 5 speed box)

Oil & filter change

New recon Starter Motor

Engine has covered 7500 miles since new install.

Has always been run on Valvoline racing 20w/50 & changed every 3000 miles

Still currently in car so can be heard and driven.

There will other odds and sods to go with engine like spare gaskets, distributor cap,plugs etc when I dig them out of the garage.

Will remove engine when sold.

I have original receipts for engine purchase which alone was alone £1800 without carbs etc.back in 1999. plus many other receipts i.e rolling road print out.

Things I’m keeping are Alternator,Throttle cables, Lumenition & Exhaust.

Although I may be persuaded to part with the Stainless Exhaust system for the right money!
