Does anyone have any photos of how they fitted there plastic molded stone guards, not sure if drilling and riveting is the best option.

Wondered the same. Sure that on one I saw at the factory they had used black headed rivets, and also an edging strip (didn't get any of that with mine which I haven't fitted yet).

I have some and a few rivet I could post you.

Not sure if using silcone and rivets would not be better.

Yes but there are some wide bodied detachable arched cars which these don't seem to fit. Westfield must have changed the mould shape at some point.

It'd be nice if I could get some to fit my own car. :(

Jan, I have looked at this using a strong adhesive film.  Twol problems:

1) You need to slide the protector over the outer lip on to the main part of the arch which is to all intents and purposes impossible when using an instant adhesive

2) The fit is Ok but does require clamping whilst the adhesive sets, and I have not been able to borrow suitable clamps.

I have also found with carbon sheet that if it does start to come apart it is a right s*d to re-do.

Trim and rivets seem the best option to me so if you have any spare lengths of trim to exchange for a few drinking tokens, please let me know.

Regards, John

Fitted mine with Black silicoln only, Just didn't like the Look of them with the Rivets.

Also allows you to have a nice smooth edge where they 'meet' the Detachable arches.

Did have to Heat the Carbon arch protectors up with a Hot Air gun on it's lowest setting to aid the fit of them though  :suspect:

The other thing that bothers me about the arch protectors is the damage that could be done if you hit an arch. I have plastic bolts holding my rear arches on so that if they get hit (and I hope they don’t) the arch gets ripped of shearing all the plastic bolts and leaves the tube undamaged. The carbon look arch protectors need rivets in to the tube and that could rip a chunk out of that if the worst should happen. :(

Rivets and edging strip for me as well.

IMHO the rivets are hardly noticeable anyway. :D

i don't see the point of fitting arch protectors until the arch has some damage that needs covering up. you will be covering something up that you want to keep damage free so it will always look good but you wont be able to see it !!!!!!!!!!!!!

The arch protectors not only protect the arch (which are not that cheap to replace when pebbledashed to death) but also the flared out profile of the tub where it meets the arch. You will get chip damage here after not too long and a tatty tub looks bad and is definitely not cheap to replace
