greeny Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 A couple of mates were doing a recce on Sunday for an event they were organising. I was at home for the weekend (Mothers Day! ) so invited myself along to join them. The sun was shining (a rare occasion for Yorkshire), roads were dry(ish) and it would have been rude not to get the westy out! We went on some fantastic roads with great views as an added bonus. The westy felt right at home on the narrow twisty bits and has now done it's first 1000 miles. I have added quite a few photos because I couldn't decide which ones to leave out. If you haven't got Broadband, please look away now! Quote
Major Stare Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Dont suppose it was a Mini event they were organising? Good photo's, especially No.4 Quote
a4gom Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Looks like the polish will come in handy m8. Lad at work who's getting the stuff for us has been in london at boat show since friday so I haven't got it yet but I'm hoping it should be here by wednesday. I'll give you a shout as soon as I get it. Whats the event? Quote
greeny Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 Dont suppose it was a Mini event they were organising? lol, how did you guess? Looks like the polish will come in handy m8. He he, could certainly do with a few coats afterwards! In fact the dirt was so good that I'm doing the route again tommorow with one of the guys. I'll be letting the Golf take the muck this time though! Whats the event? It's a 'Dales Run' they are doing on mini2.com. Wouldn't like to be on some of those single track roads with 25 minis coming the opposite way! Quote
studbuckle Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 It's not a run, it's a Mini adventure Erm, are your front tyres on the right way round? Quote

Frau Vesty Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Why not choose a couple of those and email them to the WW photo competition editor@wscc.co.uk I particularly like your last pic, that sums up Westfield ownership beautifully Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Greeny your car looks well bud.Just out of interest was it an hairdressers event? Buzz Quote
GWatson Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Greeny, Just out of interest, are those wheel centre caps supplied by Westfield, or have you just got stickers from them and made them up? Graeme Quote
greeny Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 Thanks for the kind comments people. Just out of interest was it an hairdressers event? I must admit that I did feel a bit out of place with my 'helmet hair'! Just out of interest, are those wheel centre caps supplied by Westfield, or have you just got stickers from them and made them up? They are just the standard Team Dynamics centre caps with the outer rim filed off and then covered up with Westfield badges. Quote
al4carol48 Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Hang on a minute, which one's the Westie? I love photo number four, can I steel it for my desktop? Quote
greeny Posted March 10, 2005 Author Posted March 10, 2005 Sorry to those who PM'd me about the photos, I accidentally deleted some of your messages and can't remember who you are! Anyway, I had some free time so I've hosted a couple of them in their original size. Just click on the photo and it should load up....hopefully! Quote
Paul M Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 Had a nice blat out today into Macclesfield. Took the infamous A537 Buxton- Macclesfield road. Very similar scenery, car ended up just as filthy. I was cold and had a great time. Quote
