scooby Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Anybody use this company. coming in with a good quote for me Zetec Turbo. Just wnat feedback on the service Quote
*nitrous* Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Yes I am using them, never had to claim or anything but service has been very good up till now. I went with them because they were the cheapest, have never herd any complaints about them. Quote
GWatson Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I am have just taken a policy out with them. I had an agreed value of £12k. I got the factory to write a valuation letter and sent photos. Now they want an inspection. This is not possible as I live up in Aberdeen, factory is 400 miles away. There weren't the cheapest but I wanted the agreed value. I am away to call them and see what they say, if they still insist on an inspection, either they arrange it or i will be cancelling my policy. Graeme Quote
a4gom Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I'm with them, similar to previous posts, I've never had to claim but everything else has been smooth, no probs with agreed value either. I just sent photo's and letter from westfield on value. Quote
GWatson Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Andy, They won't accept this letter as it was based on photos and an email specification, even though I explained to them that they had worked on the car a year ago, so they have seen it in the flesh. Now I have been told I can go to any garage and get a valuation done as long as they know about kitscars etc. When I asked how they would know if the do or not he said it was based on trust. yet they won't take a letter from Westfield. ChrisG Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Im with them too, again no claims etc but they seem reasonably professional and as good as any other insurance co for documentation etc Quote
scooby Posted March 7, 2005 Author Posted March 7, 2005 Looks good then. £300 With turbo declared, inc EU breakdown cover and legal cover. £50 cheaper than elsewhere. No quibble on value either. Quote

G Can't understand it mate, I asked them and they said garage, club or 'other' who knows about the kits. I was getting a friend who owns a garage to do it for me, I had written the valuation and he was going to put it on his letter head but I got an email from Westfield saying they could do it. I emailed spec and sent some photos to westfield, they sent me a letter, I sent the letter from westfield and the same photos to sure term, 2 weeks later I had confirmation that they had accepted my valuation and its stated on the new insurance certificate.
