Major Stare Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 How can The Office win ? Its not even a comedy compared to Faulty Towers, Ony Fools and Horses, Little Britain. Quote
Richgm Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I may be wrong about this (usually am )but I think you'll find that it's because the office is still fresh in peoples minds. Give it another 20 years and Things like only fools and fawlty towers will still be in there but the office will most likely have disappeared. Quote
PeterOz Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Depends which 8,000 people you ask, I guess. CLICK or when. Quote
oldman Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Well it's fools and horses for courses.I personally didn't like the office but then I'm an old fart so I shouldn't knock it.We old gits do get set in our ways Quote

Mark Stanton Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 For me it's Phoenix Nights anytime rather than The Office of "todays" current comedies But Fawlty Towers is the ultimate long time classic Quote
Frau Vesty Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Where's Yes Minister/Prime Minister, they deserve to be in the top ten, Shirley Quote
Gromit Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 I personally cant stand "The Office" OR "Only Fools", I just dont find them funny. OTOH Fawlty Towers - Classic and still funny now. Cant beat a bit of Dwarf or Bottom though. And no, its not some weird sexual practice either. Quote
jonlewis Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 It will always amaze me how few episodes of Fawlty Towers there were... It seemed like hundreds at the time. Quote
adhawkins Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Another vote for Yes Minister / Yes PM from me. 'The Key' always has me p******** myself... Insert witty comments below please... Andy Quote
