markcoopers Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Monkey leggend can be contacted i'm sure by PM, but I think it is advertised on Find it. He mentioned it the other day in a seperate thread, including his selling tactic......which might help you. Think the car is Berry St Edmonds way. Good luck, Mark Quote
James Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 Zetec and VX also have hydloic lifters. My old CVH never rattled, old ones with worn cams can, but they should'nt if in good order. To be honest a well built CVH is not a bad choice. It will be as powerfull as a similar spec cross flow, cheap to run, easy to service and shouldn't have any oil leaks. 130bhp is 130bhp, what ever churns it out. Think of it as a half way house between a X-flow and a Zetec, and it makes a bit more sence. Indeed, take the view they are less sort, and haggle real hard to get a real bargin. Don't know the Yellow car linked above, but cosmeticly it looks fine, and engines can always be swapped. Monkeyleggend also has a very good CVH car for sale at the moment, well built and tuned, giving a reliable 136Bhp with lots of lowdown tourque. One final point to consider, if CVH cars are cheaper as they are considered less desirable, then your money will go further. I would always recomend buying as new as possible, for reliability, part fit etc. Good hunting, Mark I agree with all of this Mike Tanski (Top Bloke) will take the cvh out to 2.0L and it produces very respectable power I dont think you should narrow the field to exclude the cvh my zetec has a rattley follower on sart up it drives me spare!! But it is fine when warm, For what its worth I like the look of the silver one you are thinking about but I like it with the gull wings as it looks "clasic" but xflow wouldent be my choice. Quote

Good luck, Mark Mark, Thanks again for the kind comments. Not so good on geography or is it spelling. Its BURY ST EDMUNDS. You could be on a commision if you keep this up. Oh and my CVH doesn't rattle either. Quote
