Guys.

I have just been reading Clasic Ford and there is a company called Retro Ford in Corby, Northanths advertising a TB kit for a zetec.

The kit includes

Emerald ecu

2no Jenvey 45mm TB's

4 no 45mm air horns

Single cable throttle linkage

Throttle pos sensor

Fuel rail

Inlet manifold

for £1382.00

Didn't seem a bad deal to me when you look at the price of Webers now.

I have no connection, I just thourght it may be of use to someone.

Contact no is 01536 747978

If it's the 32-bit ECU, that is a bargain, but if it is the new 16-bit unit, it is less so.  The kit is cheaper direct from Emerald, but the basic Emerald kit does not include teh Inlet Manifold.  I know, because I nearly bought a kit.

I bought a 1.8 Zetec for a Mondeo from a Ford breakers and was pleasantly surprised to find a complete induction setup as used by the factory still fitted.  I will be using that with the Emerald 32-bit unit to save some dosh short-term.

Should give me a reasonable halfway house, and I can go for TBs if it turns out to be a pile of poo, as I still have the Westfield intake manifold that I bought for the Emerald kit.

Regards,

Trevor

If this is the Ford unit then i think you'll find the engine power very restricted...............
