SLK 55 AMG

Wife has the option to change her 320 SLK for the new SLK 55 AMG from a British dealer (extra stock item - so he says). Spec. is exactly what is wanted but SWMBO isn't too happy with the colour (Silver) as she really wants to wait for one with a more blue tinge (Tellur Silver) buts thats another year wait away.  Why are women so picky over colours??

Any thoughts, should give the Westie a run for its money, but perhaps a little too civilised.

There was one of these at a track day at Elvington last year, very nice with a telly so the guy could watch the GP at lunchtime then go out a track it inthe afternoon.

Thing is he had to get new tyres and brakes at the end of the day and the kit cars were all over it.

Very nice car though....

You know what they say, SWMBO won't go in the Westie as it has no roof, and is too quick, but give her the same thing, only slower around the corners, and she thinks its wonderful.

Trust me i've tried to get her to see some sense but she really wants one.

Apologies if you think its a 'show off' but I wanted some feedback to bolster my case.

No offence to SWMBO......but do you really need the AMG.......??

I like the look of the new SLK especially compared to the last one. But surely the 350 is quick enough/cost enough to run/will depreciate enough......??
