Jan Coombes Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Well new to me, I have been having a look around on the internet for some reviews on the new A048-R But I can't find anything? Does anyone know anything about them? It says in the book they only go up to 175/60-13, but I heard that there was a 185 comming out? Are these List 1b tyres? Quote
Westfieldman Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Designed for heavier cars then a 7 so stick with the 32R's and ACB10's Or so i was told by the Yoko man at the autosport show. Paul. Quote
Jan Coombes Posted February 23, 2003 Author Posted February 23, 2003 Oh I was told it was going to take over from the 032-R. It is also a lighter tyre Quote
simonbell Posted February 23, 2003 Posted February 23, 2003 Apparently the 48 is "marginally" better in the wet. Otherwise pretty much the same as the 32 but as already mentioned designed with heavier cars in mind. Simon Quote
gregh Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 hm! in the same quandry now, Polley doesn't have 32Rs in stock, they are recommending the 48, slightly lighter, same as the 3 in the dry, better in the wet is what Steve at Polleys says. anyone tried 'em? Greg Quote
oioi Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 a mate has them on his cateringvan. he went from 32's. he reckons they are as good as in the dry and significantly better in the wet (diferent tread pattern). he is hoping they will last slightly longer than the 32's as well OiOi Quote
gregh Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 I just posted the same question on blatchat, there seems to be a number of people that really like them. good review of the 48 and the 32 here mycaterham.com Quote
gregh Posted October 21, 2003 Posted October 21, 2003 well seeing as every caterham owner who has tried these loves 'em I've gone for a set , will update this thread once they've been scrubbed in and tried out! greg Quote

Greg BMTR have A032Rs available in virtually all sizes. Plus if you speak to Dave Wootton there he's pretty clued up Quote
