racing22 Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 I'm looking for one piston - MUST be accrolite 86 mm flat top for 2 litre zetec. I have posted an advert on "parts wanted" but as yet no replies. What I was wondering is does anyone know of anywhere that will supply only one piston? In the past I have only ever came across them in sets of four. Cheers, any info. appreciated. Ian Quote
SteveD Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 err try accrolite ! they do them in one's Quote
racing22 Posted October 19, 2003 Author Posted October 19, 2003 Thanks for that info. Have YOU ever bought 1 piston from Accrolite? If so, a contact would be most appreciated cos to my knowledge Accrolite WILL NOT supply direct to the public. Quote
SteveD Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 why not have you tried them ! if you have no luck go through a dealer like receline ,they should have them on the shelf ,it would save a lot of p******** around and you would have it the next day Quote
racing22 Posted October 19, 2003 Author Posted October 19, 2003 if i wanted 4 pistons they would be here by now as raceline, burtons etc all stock them @124.00 each, only for sale in sets of 4 but I ONLY NEED ONE , Quote
sedsy Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 Sell 3 seperate then put money towards a new set ! Quote
SteveD Posted October 19, 2003 Posted October 19, 2003 don't be a tight and buy a set ,then you have three spares can't believe that you can't buy them seperate though ! and stop SHOUTING at me Quote
racing22 Posted October 20, 2003 Author Posted October 20, 2003 Unfortunately after a full seasons' racing, I can't afford a full set of pistons, but thanks for advice anyway. Can anyone help or has anyone else had a similar problem and maybe have a couple of pistons lying around?? Quote
7SE Posted October 20, 2003 Posted October 20, 2003 Try Margaret Maddock on 01244 851227, she was able to supply me with a single piston ring for my x/flow. Don't get your hopes too high, 'cos a Zetec might be too new for her to deal in. Have you replied to my last e-mail Quote
