Am laid up at home at the mo with some kind of dodgy infection in my accelerator foot/ankle... Had a horrid realisation yesterday that if it gets too bad, I might not be able to drive the westy ever again

Ahh well, doc says he wants to see me again on Friday after this week off work with my legs in the air  :0

So this means no work in the garage, but plenty of wscc!!

Sorry to hear of your gammy ankle.

I twisted my right ankle about 3 years ago, never been right since. The main problem is driving :(

Anyone tried fitting the accelerator on the left?

There was a guy at Elvington last year who had a well sorted Westy with hand controls. Can deffinately be done!

Thanks John - you know that I *really* don't want to go into hospital now!!

You got that engine back in yet? I can see some sick days coming for you too  :D  Thought you were back home on Saturday, so why isn't it back in yet??!?!

I am sure I will be back to full strength soon so your engine can go back in  :t-up:

This is true! A guy called Chris Snell or as I know him as 'Ironside' (cos' he's in a wheel chair) but most people know him as 'No pedals' had  hand controls in his striker as does his subaru. & the didn't hang about..especially when it came to buying a round!! a bit like Neil Willis!!

Never mention " Your Round" to Neil he'll pass out!!

OMG  :0

That must be an interesting combo - an auto westfield. With the right box/engine combo I bet that could be quite an interesting drive!!

Top bloke for not letting his disability get to his driving  :t-up:  :t-up:  :t-up:
