Got my SVA tommorow. The appointment does not mention any other paperwork I need to take. As I have a 1999 engine, there is no point in engine age proof.

Is there anything else I should be taking ?

Thanks

No that's all Jon, it is worth taking a few tools to make minor adjustments, tie wraps and foam padding just in case there's bits you can attend too to avoid a re-test. Also make sure you can recalibrate the speedo ie know the procedure inside out so again you may be able to avoid a retest.

Good luck, fingers crossed and let us all know how you get on

I also took my yellow SVA book (from DVLA) and flashed it while getting out other paperwork.  The examiner noticed it and commented.  In a nice way I suggested that any failure would have to be blinking obvious or pointed out in the manual.

Oh don't forget to take along tact and good humour ( as well as food and water (it is a long test and you must be in attendance at all times)

Thanks for that guys...

I will have Paul Aspden with me with a van full of rubber (oh er missus) so should be able to fix anything minor...

Will let you know.

Take some Superglue along with you too, they didn't accept cable ties as permanent but did accept superglue... I still ripped it all off afterwards though :D
