predawson Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 me neither, much better to marry the woman he has loved for 30 years than another slapper oh and why is it some people say they he shouldn't marry a divorcee 'cos the church of England doesn't like it - the C of E wouldn't exist if Henry VIII hadn't wanted a divorce in the first place goodness me!! Absolutely agree with that. It's human nature to get thinks out of perpective. E.g. tsumani kills 150,000. The whole world mourns (quite rightly) and donates huge amounts of cash. 150,000 people in Africa die of aids every 18 days. The whole world does nothing. Quote

Blatman Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Fair point, so the next thing we will see is a single parent family living in Buck House? Er, Charles was a single parent family once Diana died. And whilst his residence is Clarence House and not Buck Pal, I fail to see the relevance. Or do you only discriminate against single parent families who live on council estates, which is the demographic stereotype I suspect you have in mind. I expected better... And I'm with the majority. Wheres the harm? I don't think the so called "constitutional difficulties" will impact on *anyone* outside Buck House or Parliament, and I doubt there is a single politician with the balls to take on the Windsors in a straight fight. And as Peter G has said, they need to move with the times. If there are any double standards on display, it's from those who condemn Charles and Camilla whilst apparently being ambivalent to the "sinners" all around them. Quote
