pistonbroke Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Advice sought ..... Any one out there had experience of "Diamond Brite" ? HID is buying a new motor and has been offered "Diamond Brite" body and upholstery treatment. Nothing to do with teeth and wardrobe dep. apparantly you never have to clean & polish the car "ever" again The inside stays in showroom condition for the life of the car and if you ever spill anything nasty ( eg beetroot juice ) on the upolstery you can wipe it off with a blob of spit on a kleenex tissue and good as new again. Cost £300 Is it worth having ? or does she tell the salesesguy to shove it outa sight ? whata ya all think ? TIA Quote
adhawkins Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 I've had it put on my last 3 cars. As I hardly ever wash them, I can't really say if it makes much difference Andy Quote
cidersurfer Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Had plenty of experiences with Diamond White Quote
Major Stare Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 We sell it at work for £299.00 and you get a large carry bag with loads of goodies. When customers dont want it, we sell it for £199.00. If they still say "no" then we apply a base pack for £99.00 and you dont get the bag or interior treatment. You will get a certificate that you need to send off to get your 6 year bodywork guarentee (term of protection). The full pack contains exterior protection, intereior protection (type of Scotchgaurd), leather cleaner, sponges, leathers, rebranded Rainex (use it on your Westy), polish, glass cleaner, air freshner, seat cleaner and protection, interior trim polish and loads more......looks impressive ! If you can get EVERYTHING for £199.00 its worth it especially if you have kids. We tried to prove the rep wrong by tipping hot chocolate over the seat he just treated, it beaded off and kept clean ! JonnyBoy Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 h mate had his car done when new.. it was always really bl**** shiney!.. i have to polish it every wash to get mine anywhere near as sparkly as his Quote
studbuckle Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Personally I dont think it's worth it. If only because to get the best from it it has to be used in conjunction with their other products. In other Words if you wash your car with Turtle Wac Shampoo afterwards it will have an affect and void the garauntee, as far as I know. Scotchgurading the interior is a good idea if you have kids or you're a rep who eats on the road... You can get a lot of good quality polishes and cleaning products for 300 quid if you dont mind a bit ot TLC yourself Quote

Not true. Even car washes and jet washer dont void the garauntee You get a couple of bottles of wash and polish with the pack which they recommend you use instead of TutleWax, AutoGlym etc. Quote

studbuckle Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 I stand corrected.... I still don't think it's worth 300 quid though having seen various cars with it applied they're no better than mine. I've also seen what it can look like if it's applied by your average car valet monkey Quote
PhilH Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Is this the same sort of stuff as Silvershield? Quote
Scottish Bloke Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 REALLY not worth it. I know the cost price But hey it's only an opinion-each to their own Quote
