Bananaman Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Greg what wheels we talking about, if it's the CRX's please see my e-mail. Andy Quote
steppenwolf Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Not exactly an expert but computer graphics is part of what I do for a living I have done the wheel thing and it does help you decide what looks right. I would need a side view of your car and some pictures of your proposed wheels. If you can supply these, I can do the rest. The following is an example of what I have done for myself which although not to professional standard, it does the job:- BEFORE AFTER Quote
peterg Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 that's cheating Steve, you just went outside, jacked the car up and changed the wheels.... Quote
steppenwolf Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Well Peter, I cannot decide if that is a compliment 'cos they look so real' or a slurr on my hitherto good character .... And why weren't you on parade on Sunday? Quote
david.c Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 that's cheating Steve, you just went outside, jacked the car up and changed the wheels.... He definitely done it on the computer.............you can't see the yellow bodywork through the wheels on the 2nd photo. Any chance you could do my car with a 'Max Power Babe' drapped over it. David Quote
peterg Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 why weren't you on parade on Sunday it's a long story which I will tell you one day....... a slurr on my hitherto good character Quote
Fat Albert Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Stepps Wow, a few more spokes Is it only me that wonders why you bothered? Quote
oioi Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Is it only me that wonders why you bothered? I think it is because Stepps (being an old git) is somebody who is afraid of change but really deep down inside wanted to do something radical OiOi (sorry for the abuse Stepps I dont know you but hey... Quote
steppenwolf Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Stepps Wow, a few more spokes Is it only me that wonders why you bothered? Ahhh, if you only knew ...... Actually, the reason for the change was that as I clean the car after every blat 'cos I want to, the thoroughly pleasant job was taking too short a time so the extra 25 spokes ( of course I clean the spare after every trip ) give me that little bit extra fondling time. you can't see the yellow bodywork through the wheels on the 2nd photo. How I suffer for my art ........... I think it is because Stepps (being an old git) is somebody who is afraid of change but really deep down inside wanted to do something radical Right that's it Oioi and Fat Albert are off my Christmas list Quote
david.c Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 I think it is because Stepps (being an old git) is somebody who is afraid of change but really deep down inside wanted to do something radical It's because they were the closest thing he could find to wire wheels Now they would give you cleaning pleasure David Quote
Fat Albert Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 It's because they were the closest thing he could find to wire wheels Bolt on of course Quote
steppenwolf Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Bolt on of course If I had chrome wheels, I'd need the chrome suspension pack too! Hmmmmm ..... I could spend hours cleaning them By the way Fat Albert, I am not sure that you are qualified to comment on the appearance of wheels as you seem to be hiding your rear wheels behind an inspection cover .... Mark Stanton Posted October 14, 2003 Posted October 14, 2003 Wouldn't that be a good software package when buying a Westfield To have different body colours and wheel styles to look at when you purchase your car A bit gimmicky perhaps but something to aim for during the build I now apologise to Richard and Holly for creating them more work using the additional software package should the idea be adopted for sales Quote
