mr-rad Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 As recent post show there seems to be quite a lot of Westies in the Keighley/Skipton area. Would anybody be interested in getting a regular meet together. I thought we could use the Craven Heifer on Grassington Road just out of Skipton because it has a large car park and is very close to some great roads. Nothing fixed in stone so if you have other ideas for venue or even possible events please post. Cheers Conrad Quote
potster Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Do bears **** in the woods? Count me in Quote
a4gom Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 I'm up for a meet anywhere. Hope you don't mind if I pinch an opportunity here to advertise Keighley & District Motor Club, they meet every Tuesday night at Newsholme Manor in Oakworth (also has big car park and is near some nice roads? maybe not quite as nice) The club has been struggling over recent years and is now at its lowest membership since it started in 1984. Call up and have a chat everyone is welcome, you don't have to join although it would be nice if you did. Also suggested has been Kildwick, this would be more local for the Keighley boys and there are no built up areas to travel through to get to the dales. Quote
mr-rad Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 I had thought the White Lion at Kildwick would be a good venue and the beer is good! Quote
PhilH Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 Im game ,was going to post something similar mi self. Getting desparate to show the new girl off. Phil Quote
mr-rad Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 So the next question............. When? Quote
PhilH Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 May be on a Sunday .Meet Kildwick/Blat round Skiptonshire and back to Kldwick. This sunday or next ?Anytime for me will do Phil Quote
a4gom Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Assuming I don't blow it up on friday I think either will be ok for me. Need to check with the oracle when I get home. Would we be talking am or pm? Pm's probably better for me. This Sunday's weather looks pretty grim rain with a possibility of snow??, thats not to say it will be any better the week after! Quote
potster Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I'm good either weekend. As long as it's not too early in the morning Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 I'd be interested in coming over from Leeds in the spring/summer time and if its a weekend then even better and I'm sure you'd get other westie owners from wider-a-field in the Yorks region Buzz Quote
greeny Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Next Sunday would be better for me as I may be coming back from Newcastle that weekend. Doesn't mean to say I wont bring the rain with me though! Quote

a4gom Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Looking like the 13th then anyone want to suggest a time? How about 14.00hrs in the car park, a quick hour or so's blat and back for a pint and a chat? Quote
potster Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Sounds good but I'll need to confirm I'm not being dragged into taking the misses away for Valantines day/weekend. P.S there is no excuse to forget now thanks to my useful reminder Quote
