highwayman Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Refurb sierra rear calipers - £100 outright £70 exchange plus £8 P and P
a4gom Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Hi I have a 1994 narrow bodied SEi, an early independant rear end with the westfield diff casing and drum brakes. Although the braking is good enough as it is I am interested in disk brakes on the rear end. Is it an easy conversion or am I going to need to change loads of new bits??
highwayman Posted January 28, 2005 Author Posted January 28, 2005 Not worth the hassle of changing , unless you're extremely determined. Better to sell existing car and get an independant if its such an issue It has been done Dave

Blatman Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 As Highwayman has said, unless you're really determined, there is no reason to change. Braking efficiency will not change much if at all. For me, braking efficiency is the *only* reason to fiddle with a set up that works. If you can make large gains in efficiency or feel, then go for it. However, when I swapped from drums to discs, I noticed no difference at all...
a4gom Posted January 28, 2005 Posted January 28, 2005 Thanks i'll stick with what I've got for now then
