8336 Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 Hi I'm trying to organise the luggage capacity of my Westie. I have been told that Westfield can supply hood bags. One of these would enable me to take the hood out of the boot and leave a bit of room for some luggage. Anybody got one? Could you let me see a picture? I've seen Caterham hood bags that rest on toop of the boot cover and fix to the roll bar uprights., are the Westfield ones similar? John Gathard Quote
Stuart Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 IIRC, Cateringvan one is tubular. The one I have from Westfield is flat with just a fold over velcro end. No attachments to fasten it to the roll bar (so use bungees). But it was only a tenner a couple of years ago. Quote
chappers Posted January 19, 2005 Posted January 19, 2005 The Westfield hoodbag is just a long rectangular vinyl pocket sewn on three sides with a velcro flap and no attachments for fixing it to the car. The £40 Caterham one (and you will need the Caterham SV one is for a widebody) however is much better. Its a cylinder with a long zip on its lower side and tabs on the ends to fix it to the roll bar. The SV one also gives you extra tabs in case you have thicker rollbar. See the images below if I have attached them correctly. Cheers Kev. Quote
