Buzz Billsberry Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 I’m after advice on digital editing software for my camcorder. Any recommendations? All I'm wanting to do is have a continuity facility, general editing etc, I also want to down load on to DVD.I have cd/DVD RW capability but any advice in that area would be fine as well Mochas grassyarse Buzz Quote
james grayley Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 hey buzz, why not have a chat with andrew terry... seems to have done a good .... if slightly contraversial... job on the pkm vids... Quote
CrashBangWallop Posted January 14, 2005 Posted January 14, 2005 Premiere has always been my favourite (still expensive) but, may come with any capture hardware you buy. Any simple firewire card you can buy nowadays for 50 quid should have basic editing software with it. Most modern graphics cards with video capture and playback should do fine. Mine was 200 quid a year ago and does full-screen MPEG capture and can burn to DVD etc. I bet it's a helluvalot cheaper now The MiroDV stuff starts nice and cheap but, goes up to whatever you want to pay, really. Don't know if that helps but, with only one reply, I thought I'd bolster your plight BTT! Neil Quote

nlash Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Refering back to the other thread link above, I went for Adobe Premiere Elements, circa £70. It is excellent and does all the basic editing facilities you are likely to need Quote

Buzz Nope, Premiere Elements will let you add your audio tracks, either those stored on your HD or from CD etc. Pinnacle products allow for this too. Quote
