Chris Elworthy Posted January 8, 2005 Posted January 8, 2005 New seats arrived today (van turned into street just as Mrs E driving out......phew! Reverie Mulsanne - fantastic! (and great service from Hangar 111 by the way) Will post pictures when I've worked out how to fit them Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted February 1, 2005 Author Posted February 1, 2005 I know this should be in Teccie bit, but I've started now! Fitted 'em using Reverie C/F Sideplates fitted back to front - they made some undrilled for me especially. Only slight concern is that when bolted down at the angle I need the shoulder area is very tight against bodywork. If they were fitted more upright (for the vertically challenged) and not hard back against the bulkhead this slight prob would go away. Quote

Chris Elworthy Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 Wheels look good, what make are they? regards. Image EV Cast. Another company that provides great service (despite me being very rude and impatient at one point - I know thats hard to believe) Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 JP Exhaust aswell? And the wheels are??????? Exhaust manifold was made by Graham Frankland at Exhausts by design when I built the car in 2000. Its still as good as new. Silencer is Tech Craft and been on since 02 - it has been welded up at the front though and would benefit from a centre support. Quote
Chris Elworthy Posted February 2, 2005 Author Posted February 2, 2005 Dont change them wheels they look the dogs ! BUT ..... What I would like to know is - How did you fasten that mirror to the screen frame ? The rear view mirror has been on since I built it too. Its a cheapo Halfords one, the sort that come with a rubber sucker so you can position it to see down female passenger's cleavages. I cut the bit off that holds the sucker and drill a hole down what remains of the centre post. You then insert a stud into the threaded insert thats in the centre of the windscreen frame (I never did bother finding out what that is really for) you then push the mirror on to the stud, I secured it with a small fuel hose clamp just to pull it down on to the stud. When I get a minute I will post a photo. Quote
pistonbroke Posted February 2, 2005 Posted February 2, 2005 Ingeneous , I'm intreagued , please post the pikky and instructions . BTW does it work on female cyclists too ? Quote
