Calendar Pics

Recommended Posts

If I can get together enough good quality pictures, the club intends to produce a calendar for next year.

The crux of the matter however is that we can find 12 excellent pics, of a quality that can be blown up to at least 16x12 inches, which represent club activities, and that you are prepared to allow us to publish.

Time is a factor, so if you have anything, send me a message, and I'll give you the e-mail address to send the pics to.

As a title, inline with Wallace and Grommet's "The Wrong Trousers" you could call it "The Wrong Nuts"

I knew you weren't supposed to mix your tyres but didn't realise mixing your wheels coud be so devistating.

What happened, wheel nuts.?

My normal Superlite nuts dont have a tapered washer around their seat and as a result were not suitable for RS type wheels. I had only done 200 yards from the startline and thought I was getting quite a bit of oversteer with my at the time brand spanking new Toyo's. Little did I know what was really happening. ACW's girlfriend was on hand to take the pictures as it happened.

I had swapped from 186/60/13 to 205/60/13 to try and get some more speed down the back straight. As it happened, the car was unscathed as the fins on my diffuser saved the chassis and brake disks from contacting the ground.

Unfortunately, the nearside rear arch killed the tyre wall one one of them like a stanley knife. The other was unscathed but was badly stung by the stinging nettles in one of the pictures. Fortunately, I managed to flog that one to Blatman, and sold the 2 RS wheels to some guy with a Locost.

As I said..."The wrong nuts"

I still went on to win the class though:t-up:

I have some good stuff coming in, thanks to everyone so far.

I have nothing yet from Le Mans, Stoneleigh, and local area activities.

If you know of a photographer in your patch, who has pictures of activities in your area, get in touch.
