leighc Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 me and fellow westfield owner went out and did about 80 miles today. Its the first time since i've had it that i've been able to put it up against another car, although its an automatic he's more experienced behind the wheel, but it was a really good drive (note to self, next time I go a long drive, make sure petrol tank is full. Very, very nearly ran out today) We almost spent the rest of today pulling a motorbike out the back of ians car today. Havin a bit of fun with a bike and he got a bit excited and nearly smashed into the back of it at a junction. Hope you all had a good day drivin. Car is covered in s**t now tho. Ah well, gimme something to do tomorrow. Quote
jeff oakley Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 Went out just after lunch up to Gloucester across to Cirencester and back to Bristol. bl**** cold with the low winter sun causing some blind spots but great fun all the same. Never ceases to amaze me how little people use their mirrors, they don't see you until your are screaming past their door whereupon they dive to the pavement and look to see where you came from. Saw another Westfield Green with yellow nose going towards Tetbury so not alone in using it today. Jeff Quote
leighc Posted January 2, 2005 Posted January 2, 2005 yeah too true about not bein spotted. The amount of times i've had to swerve cause people dont see you at junctions. I about got wiped out by a bus the other day as i was comin round a roundabout and he pulled out without lookin. Quote
