PhilH Posted December 9, 2004 Posted December 9, 2004 Following Windys thread re:driving course it looks like there is a fair bit of interest.Assuming its road skills as opposed to track teqniques, has anyone passed or considered the IAM advanced driving test. For those who really want to improve there driving its probably the best £80 you will ever spend. Its based on Police roadcraft and makes you realise how much you have forgotten/never knew/or hadnt considered.I find it particularly useful in vulnerable Westy! If anyone wants info give us a shout. Its money better spent than on a road angel Phil Quote
studbuckle Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 and for anyone that's kept up with me on a blat... I'm an IAM/RoSPA member and trained IAM observer Quote
markcoopers Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 I failed both tests within a week, " speeding within built up areas". Specifically it was because I didn't slow the car in time upon approaching/entering a restricted speed limit zone. Still I openly admit to being a poor driver, simply far too many miles in a company motor on the phone + endorsments to claim other wise. Quote
Liam Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 We'll put you down for a Road Angel then Mark Quote
markcoopers Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 If you could just remove everyone from my road I would be happier. Quote
