Rob Navin Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Mrs W. It seems that you still have FAR too much time on your hands. What about a nice part time job.... Quote
Blatman Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 I want to know what Frau Vesty was looking for that she found this... Quote
samcooke Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Ahhhhhh. Moggies. When I see pictures like that it just makes me go all squooshy inside and then... ...want to skin the b*stard vermin alive and make their owners eat the little presents they leave all over my lawn that threaten the health of my family. HATE THEM HATE THEM HATE THEM. HTH Quote
Rob Navin Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Still working as a spokeman at the cat protection league then Quote
Frau Vesty Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 the little presents they leave all over my lawn that threaten the health of my family. In fact, whilst unpleasant, cat crap, whilst potentially containing toxoplasmosis is probably no more dangerous to the health of your family (except pregnant women, who you would not expect to be crawling around the lawn) than your garden itself. Just think of the millions of nasty anaerobic bacteria, such as tetanus and botulism (the toxin of which is one of, if not the deadliest poison known to man) which live quite happily in your soil Quote
mad lon Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Cats are owreet,so are all other animals. It's humans that worry me Quote
I.S.M Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 botulism LOL little things please little minds...... (for good measure) Quote
Buzz Billsberry Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Oi you lot there’s now't wrong with cats. Mine is 14 next Wednesday and he's never crapped on my lawn....he saves it for my neighbours. What a considerate moggy. For a 14 year old cat he is very active he has 17 or 18 naps a day which he saves up for his main 16 hour sleep in the late afternoon. For a few years I thought he was dead but ever so often he'd feed, go visit the neighbours’ lawn and return to his bunk, perrrrr and have another nap. Top Cat for sure! Buzz Quote
neilwillis Posted December 8, 2004 Posted December 8, 2004 Best thing I saw involving a cat was the Hale and Pace microwave sketch! Quote

Fab I'll take that as an offer to come round and lick up all the poop off my lawn. If you're careful you'll avoid getting any soil in your mouth as it tends to sit on top of the grass. Quote
Frau Vesty Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 I didn't say it wasn't horrible, or that I would want to lick up cat poo or soil... just that you were using the "health" argument specifically against cat poo, whereas I don't think it is necessarily true that it's more dangerous than the rest of your garden. I don't think I know of anyone who owns a garden made up entirely 100% of grass, without any soil on show and in my opinion, there are just as many nasties, some of them nastier, lurking in there than there are in the cat crap.
