O/T Calling IT freelancers/temps

Quick call for help really, an IT project we're involved in for another company has had it's timetable severly b*ggered from our point of view.

Desperately short notice I know, but..

We could do with a lift on site with an existing server being upgraded to Windows 2003 server + Exchange 2003.

We'll also be installing a new Windows 2003 server as PDC, plus 20 odd client machines.

But it's the Exchange set up we most need a hand with.

Site location is near Southampton, and we need to be on site the first three days next week.

If anyone with Exchange 2003/ Server 2003 experiance can help, please call me on 07769 908575

Dave.

Try giving WCI a ring, they are in Soton and we've used them in the past for exchange upgrades.  I'd offer my services but im not doing ours till next year.

A great deal of thanks to all those with recommendations and offers of help. The matter's sorted now, (all be it slightly differently to how we expected). :bangshead:

Still, it just shows how such a broad spread of members as this club has, makes it such a strong club. _ I got more help from you guys, than I did the employment agency we approached, which came up with,

no one,

And took a week to do it.

Thanks

Southampton temp agencies are utterly useless.  Unless your a non english speaking simpleton who wants nothing more than 1 repetitive task all day for the minimum wage or a big company seeking a steady stream of the above, forget it. :bangshead:

Exchange is a very big hammer to crack a 20 client nut with IMO  and £££££££.

True enough, but there will be another two sites with another twenty machines at each brought on line in the new year, at which point they will start adding the next batch at the main site.

They also want a handful of single machine offices to connect their copies of Outlook back to the main Exchange server by HTTP links, hence them specifying Exchange 2003/Office 2003.

Sadly the existing Exchange server running on an ancient NT4 box is groaning under the load they put on it.
