pistonbroke2 Posted December 6, 2004 Posted December 6, 2004 Scott. By Heck Beely .Youre career is not thankless, you guys are Gods to joe public. I reckon that this spazzo is a George Best fan or something (apologies to any Footy fans) If you where the Ambulance driver I bet he would soon get back into bed. What really annoys me is that these TWTS,take up all of youre time fetching and carrying for "them" and the real world misses out. See you Wed. at the Horton I hope. Quote
Martin Keene Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Oh Creepy... Saw a program on the telly the other week with the exactly the same set of circumstances. Bloke takes massive paracetamol overdose Bloke gets drag into hospital against wishes Bloke pleads with nurses, doctors, cameras, etc to let him die Bloke becomes unconscious Bloke gets sent to ITU Blokes liver fails All the anaylsis gets done as to whether he is worth giving a liver to, who will loss out etc, will he try to take his own life again etc.. They decide he is worthy Bloke gets the transplate Bloke makes full recovery First thing Bloke does when he gets released from Hospital... Chucks himself off a cliff... WHAT A B##TARD!!! I obviously have no clue what it is like for you seeing it first hand, it made my blood boil watching on telly... why do we have to waste good tax payers money and the NHS time by keeping ******'s like this alive? Rant over... Quote
Muttleys V8 Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Went skiing with a mate earlier this year who is a doc down in London. Told the story of a guy who came into A&E in a pretty bad way, no details of what happened to him, my mate spent 72 hours keeping him alive, blood transfusions and cardiac shock stuff, the bloke in question actually died three time for my mate to bring him every time. Anyway after three days and about 30 pints of blood, the guy pulls through, when the guy is fully awake, he is told what happened to him and the blood transfusions and stuff, he then says to the Docs that he is a Jehovah Witness and cannot accept another mans blood. Soon as he got out of hospital, he committed suicide. Steve??? Quote
Matt Seabrook Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Oh goodness me dont bring religion in to it now Quote
neilwillis Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 Thing you have to think about is that this person was desperate enough to have to take that step. That's an illnesss isn't it? You would like to think that if you were that desperate, someone would reach out, and pull you back from the brink. I agree though Scott, if he wanted to die, why shouldn't he have his wish. 5 years from now though, he could be a completely different person. I had a job where it didn't pay to be too analytical about what I was doing, sometimes it is best just to do what is expected, and not dwell on this stuff too much. Quote
